The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelensky, has assured this Wednesday that Russia has done “the same” that the Nazis did on June 22, 1941, when German troops invaded the Soviet Union by surprise.
“Today, June 22, is the Day of Mourning and Remembrance of the Victims of War. A war that should remain forever in the history of the 20th century and should never be repeated. But it is repeated. In this regard, Zelensky thanked the director of the US Department of Justice’s Office of Special Investigations, Eli Rosenbaum, for “his assistance in the investigation of war crimes in Ukraine.”
