Nintendo won't attend E3

“Although Nintendo will not be exhibiting at E3 2023, we are excited by the interest in what the remastered event will look like. We look forward to sharing news about our exhibitors and all the exciting things happening soon,” said Lance Festerman, president of ReedPop, the new E3 hosting company.

A soulless E3 2023

Nintendo’s participation had been questioned for a few weeks, after a report from IGN, which highlighted that this company, along with Xbox and PlayStation, would not be present at the event.

E3 is one of the flagship exhibitions in the video game industry; However, during the pandemic it lost strength to the point of canceling a couple of editions, while other events, such as the Summer Game Fest, gained more popularity.

In fact, this event, organized by the person in charge of the Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, will also have a physical event on June 8 in which Microsoft will participate.

This year’s edition of E3 will take place from June 13 to 16 in Los Angeles, just one month after the launch of Nintendo’s reference title for the year, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Despite these reports, Festerman is confident that the event will go smoothly, while this week Ubisoft, developer of franchises like Assassin’s Creed, will have a presence at the event.
