Invincible will have a AAA video game; crowdfunding campaign launched
Previously, the company obtained $18 MMDD thanks to more than 6,000 investors who made a financial contribution through a crowdfunding initiative. Now, he is in search of $5 MMDD additional to materialize the project. The new campaign, which will remain open in the website Republic until the end of April, has already raised $445,200 USDwhich far exceeds the initial goal of $50,000 USD.

At Skybound, we prioritize fostering meaningful connections with our audience and this initiative will allow fans to not only immerse themselves in the world of Invinciblealso contribute directly to its expansion,” said the executive director David Alpert.
As far as the video game is concerned, details remain scarce. We know it will be a AAA experience developed by a studio made up of more than 30 workers with previous experience in Activision Blizzard, Epic Games and Electronic Arts. No further information was provided, so the approach and scale are unknown.
The campaign description states that the game Invincible will have competitive gameplay, premium production values and advanced technical foundations; In addition, the presence of “local and competitive game modes” stands out. On the other hand, Skybound Games points out that it plans to expand the title with “multiple DLC” that allow new stories to be contributed to the universe of the franchise.
Everything indicates that the project is in its initial stages, so its premiere still seems very distant, even if the development team manages to raise the additional $5 MMDD. The announcement confirms that Robert Kirkman, creator of the IP, will be involved in the production.
This certainly won't be the first video game based on the comic series. In addition to the mobile game Invincible: Guarding the Globefans can enjoy the acclaimed visual novel Invincible Presents: Atom Evewhich was free a couple of weeks ago through Prime Gaming.
