Jan. 16 (Portaltic/EP) –
Google is rolling out new functionality to its Clock app, which allows users to record their own alarm sounds, as well as customize the timer notification.
In addition to the alarm and the timer, this ‘app’ has other functions related as stopwatch or Restwhich allows you to set a fixed rest time, disconnects the phone to avoid notifications and offers relaxing sounds.
Until now, the alarm section has different music options: choose one of ringtones from the Google Clock library, a new one is inserted through Drive, a song is chosen from Spotify or Youtube music in case of being a premium subscriber, or Calm is chosen, which is the meditation and sleep application.
However, Google has introduced a new option which allows users to record their own sounds from the application and without having to import them from other services, as Esper’s editor-in-chief has warned, Mishaal Rahman.
Rahman has advanced on Twitter that this feature is present in version 7.3 of the Android mobile application and that is displayed in both the alarm sound and timer settings.
For now, this functionality is limited to Pixel devices, as in order to offer this service uses the Recorder application, exclusive to these phones developed by Google. However, Rahman has commented that it may be available on some custom ROMs that come with this app pre-installed.
