The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica, Arnoldo André, kept up a bilateral meeting with her counterpart Tanja Fajon of Slovenia at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Both ministers shared opinions on the issues that the Forum convenes, especially one that is of common interest: environmental protection. The two countries are part of the Green Group, a group of nations that promotes policies to achieve the transition to a green economy through the use of renewable energy.
In addition, Costa Rica and Slovenia are members of the Core Group on Human Rights and the Environment, within the framework of the United Nations.

The foreign ministers also addressed issues on multilateral cooperation and the commercial relationship with the European Union.
Chancellor Fajon is part of the Cabinet of Nataša Pirc Musar, who last December became the first woman to reach the Presidency of Slovenia.
As a curious fact, in that European nation the three main government positions are held by women, with Urska Klakocar Zupancic as the first woman to preside over Parliament.
Minister André’s agenda in Davos during the first part of this Thursday was developed together with President Rodrigo Chaves, the Minister of Foreign Trade, Manuel Tovar and the rest of the delegation, beginning with a meeting with Klaus Schwab, president of the World Economic Forum .
Later, President Chaves had bilateral meetings with Presidents Alain Berset, of Switzerland, and Guillermo Lasso, of Ecuador, respectively.
