Pieces Interactive focuses the Alone in the Dark story on the characters, so they decided to hire actors to faithfully represent them in the game. That’s where David Harbor (Stranger Things) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) come in. Edward is a slightly dry detective, a seasoned man who has his funny moments, while Emily maintains a more relevant connection to the plot and, like her uncle, suffers a mysterious misfortune called the “Hartwood curse”. Both characters are playable and the inhabitants of Derceto will react differently depending on who is played as. Even the story will vary a little.
