The Administrator of the Resources of the General Health Social Security System (Adres), announced that in order to safeguard and protect the country’s health resources, measures were adopted administrative measures to suspend payments to 52 IPS that have filed accounts for more than $70 billion.

The measure was taken as a result of audits carried out by three firms hired by Adres since 2023 to control, verify and recognize payments to entities that They file claims for health services and transportation expenses arising from traffic accidents caused by vehicles without SOAT or unidentified vehicles.
According to the administrator, at the time of the visit to the address registered in the complaints form, The auditors found no physical infrastructure.

The 52 IPS will not be able to receive resources by direct transfer and in this sense the entity is notifying the country’s EPS that they cannot include them in the monthly programming until their actual existence is clarified.
“These institutions will have a period of ten working days to file an appeal for reconsideration. If they fail to prove their existence, Adres will forward these facts to the Attorney General’s Office.“, they reported.

The director of Adres, Felix Leon Martinez Martin, said that “The entity has the responsibility of preserving the good management of the resources of the health system and for this we have demanded that the auditing companies be thorough in the review of the accounts that they are presenting to us for the provision of health services.”.
Most of the IPS in question are located in the departments of Atlantic, Magdalena, Arauca, Casanare, Guaviare and Vichada.
