Star Wars Jedi: Survivor It has already debuted and, although its PC version has several problems, it arrived as one of the most anticipated games of the year. To promote it, Electronic Arts recorded a great commercial with Mark Hamill, but PlayStation decided to edit it so as not to promote a controller from another company.
Last week a promo was released for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor which delighted many. In it we can see Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker in the movies of Star Warstrain Cameron Monaghan, star of Star Wars Jedi. In one of the sections, Hamill appears playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
This commercial was reuploaded by various video game company accounts, including Xbox and PlayStation. What caught the attention of many is that PlayStation felt that it was necessary to edit it. The reason? It turns out that in the part where Mark Hamill plays, he committed a huge sin: not using a DualSense.

Instead, Hamill appears playing with a controller made by a third party, so it is unknown what platform it is for. That being said, it seems that Sony decided that it was necessary to edit it to prevent its audience from knowing that there is another control outside of the DualSense.
Could it be that PlayStation is exaggerating and being very jealous? Maybe, but they’re not the only ones who did. It turns out that if you watch the video on the Xbox channel you will see that they also edited this part. It may certainly seem like overkill to us, but the reality is that companies avoid displaying products from companies they are not associated with for a variety of reasons. From legal issues to not promoting third parties.
What do you think about this new? Do you think editing the trailer was necessary or that PlayStation and Xbox are overreacting? Tell us in the comments.
