Poland denounces a Russian cyberattack against several government websites

March 27 () –

The Polish authorities have denounced this Monday that several government web pages have suffered cyberattacks perpetrated over the weekend allegedly by Russian hackers.

Among the websites affected is that of the Counterintelligence service of the Polish Army, as well as the page of the Dezamet company, related to the military industry, according to information from the PAP news agency.

“There are almost daily attempts to block important websites of state or government-related institutions. This activity is mainly carried out by Russian ‘hackers’ using primitive tools,” said Stanislav Zharin, spokesman for the coordinator of the special services of the Ministry of Interior.

In this sense, he has indicated that the attacks are perpetrated by Russian work groups such as Killnet or NoNa057. “They are teams of ‘hackers’ controlled by the Russian secret services and carrying out a cyber war against the West,” she has asserted.

Thus, he has admitted that there are “short-term problems with the operation of the Counterintelligence page”, although he has assured that the problem has been neutralized as part of the “effective” work of the Polish forces.
