September 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least three children were killed and another injured on Friday in an anti-personnel mine explosion in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
The London-based organisation, which has informants in the country, said the incident took place in the town of Manbij, under the control of Kurdish forces, adding that all the victims were members of the same family.
There are no immediate details about the incident. The town is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) – led by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) militia – while the Syrian Army is deployed in the surrounding area as a ‘buffer zone’ against the Turkish-backed rebels.
