The Bangkok Pink Line monorail is expected to come into operation this year as the construction of the project is nearing 95% completion.
The 53.5 billion baht public transport project, under development since 2016, will link Khae Rai in Nonthaburi with Min Buri in eastern Bangkok, aiming to alleviate chronic traffic congestion in northern Bangkok.
The 34.5-kilometre monorail line will have 30 stops along the way, starting at Nonthaburi Civic Center station and connecting with the MRT purple line, ending at Min Buri station, which will connect with the orange line currently under construction.

At Min Buri Station, passengers will be able to transfer to the Impact Link branch, which is scheduled to open in 2025. The branch will have three stations and will connect with the SRT Red Line, BTS Green Line, and MRT Gray and Brown Lines .

The construction of the branch has been completed by 10.5%, with 13.45% of the civil works already carried out and 4.5% of the signaling systems installed.
The government hopes that the new railway lines will be a cheap, comfortable and ecological alternative for city commuters, as well as contributing to decongesting traffic.
