Microsoft has announced a series of updates to its Xbox Game Pass video game platform, including increased prices for subscriptions to the different modes Ultimate, Core and PC; and the introduction of a new Standard plan.
Xbox Game Pass is a paid service that allows access to hundreds of Xbox games and is available on consoles, PCs and devices such as mobile phones, tablets or TV. This format allows online multiplayer mode, as well as the downloading of video games, and includes other offers and rewards exclusive to its members.
The firm has now announced a change in the prices of the subscriptions offered by this platform, which it has made known through an update shared on its page. support website.
This change in the price of subscriptions to its gaming platform will apply to both the Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Core versions for consoles, as well as the Xbox Game Pass format for PC.
In this way, in Spain Game Pass Ultimate will go from costing 14.99 euros to 17.99 euros per monthwhile Game Pass Core will be paid for 69.99 eurosinstead of the current 59.99 euros. On behalf of Game Pass for PC, Xbox has indicated that the current 9.99 euros will be 11.99 euros.
The company has explained that these changes take effect for new member subscriptions from this Wednesday and will be applied Starting next September 12th for existing members. He added that the regular billing dates will not change for people who already subscribe to these services.
On the other hand, he said that starting this Wednesday Xbox Game Pass for Console will not be available to new members and those who are already subscribed to this modality and have automatic payment renewal enabled will be able to continue enjoying their subscription.
However, if at any point you turn off auto-renewal for payment and your subscription expires, you will no longer have access to Game Pass for the platform and will have to join one of the other plans it offers for Game Pass.
Finally, the company has announced Xbox Game Pass Standardwhich has been developed “to give players more choice in how they play and discover games” and which will be launched in the coming months for a price of $14.99 (about 13.90 euros at the current exchange rate). At the moment, it has not confirmed how much it will cost in other regions apart from the United States or in which ones it will be available.
In this case, Microsoft’s video game division has specified that this format does not include titles released on day one and will not include Xbox Cloud Gaming or EA Play services.
