July 7 () –
British Police arrested a man on Friday after handcuffing himself to one of the main doors of Buckingham Palace in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, before threatening to harm himself.
The suspect, in his 30s, approached the gates of the palace around 5:30 p.m. (local time) on Thursday, when he placed handcuffs on his hands and chained himself to the entrance fence, as explained by the Police in statements to the BBC television network.
Despite officers’ attempts to resolve the incident quickly, the man stabbed himself several times. Finally, he was arrested early this Friday morning and taken to a hospital in the area before being taken into police custody.
