The Republican politician, who heads a delegation made up of Democratic and Republican congressmen, has indicated that his objective is to underline that “there are no deeper or better relations between countries than between the United States and Israel.”
Herzog, for his part, has stressed that the United States is a “close ally” and has qualified that Israel is advancing towards the “complete integration of the Middle East.” In this sense, he has made reference to the Abraham Accords and other pacts with Egypt and Jordan.
