At least five people have died this Monday due to a fire registered in a chemical plant of the Chinese company Sinochem Group in the province of Shandong, in the east of the country.
Local authorities have indicated that the fire occurred after an explosion in the hydrogen peroxide production area. “As a result, five people have died and one has been injured. Another is missing,” they have indicated, according to Chinese media.
The Fire Department has indicated that the fire is under control, while a search operation is carried out to find the missing person. Security forces are investigating the causes of the accident.
