The European Union has lamented the killing of more than 130 civilians at the hands of jihadist terrorists in the center of Mali and has called for “fighting against impunity”, in view of the fact that both the “breadth” and “frequency” of these types of attacks.

The events took place over the weekend in several towns located in the Bankass circle (center) and the EU hopes that “the circumstances” and “the precedents” of this massacre will be known, according to a spokesman for the European External Action Service.

“Fighting against impunity is fighting against terrorism, because it feeds on it,” said the office led by Josep Borrell, who on behalf of the Twenty-seven reiterated European “solidarity” with the security of the Malian population.


“We must remain united against those who want to divide us,” he stressed.
