For Colombia, 11 million euros are reserved to face the consequences of armed conflicts, as well as another 5 million for disaster preparedness.
The rest of South America will have 22 million in humanitarian aid, in particular, 14 million will be dedicated to supporting those affected by forced displacement, including two million for the internal crisis in Ecuador. Another eight million will be saved to prevent natural disasters.
In the Central American region, 17 million will be allocated to respond to humanitarian crises in a year in which a record number of internal displacements are recorded in the area. Regarding the Caribbean region, 20 million will be allocated to Haiti, while more than one million will be dedicated to addressing migratory flows from Cuba, Venezuela and Haiti.
