TCL returns one more year to the CES consumer electronics fair in Las Vegas (United States) to present the novelties that will be added to its catalog throughout the year at a global level, and which include the new series of TCL ‘smartphones’ 40 Series, new devices with Nxtpaper panel and the RayNeo X2 augmented reality glasses.
The first members of TCL 40 series to appear are the 40R 5G,40SE and 408although the director of Global Marketing of TCL Communications, Stefan Streit, has already confirmed that they will present more news of this range in Barcelona, during Mobile World Congress, at the end of February.
The three ‘smartphones’ use a nxtvision screenthey have a long lasting battery and integrate in the rear part a 50 megapixel camera with artificial intelligence. In addition, TCL 40R 5G ($219) incorporates a 7 nanometer 5G processorin line with the commitment of the Chinese firm to bring the fifth generation of mobile connectivity to more users.
This device offers a 6.6-inch screen size with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 5,000mAh battery, which offers autonomy for two days of standard use.
TCL 40 SE ($169), meanwhile, packs dual stereo speakers along with a 6.75-inch screen that refreshes at 90Hz and offers HD+ resolution. It integrates a 5,010mAh battery, an 8 megapixel front camera and will be available with different capacities: 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage or 6GB+256GB.
TCL 408 ($129), also with a 6.6-inch diagonal and dual stereo speakers, combines the main 50-megapixel camera and a macro lens to capture high resolution images. It works with an eight-core processor, a 5,000mAh battery and offers 64GB of internal storage.
The company has specified that the TCL 40R 5G ‘smartphone’ is already available in the Spanish market, while the other two models will arrive throughout the first quarter of the year, as well as Moveaudio Air headphones.
These wirelessly designed headphones offer a autonomy of up to 32 hours with the charging case, and are waterproof to IPX4. They enhance bass with a hybrid 10mm titanium-coated driver and reduce latency to 40ms for gaming.
NEW DEVICES WITH NXTPAPER PANEL
The company has also implemented the Nxtpaper display technology on two new devices: Nxtpaper 12 Pro tablet and Book X12 Go convertiblethus offering both immersive viewing and a paper-like effect that reduces harmful blue light by up to 61 percent more than regular displays.
Nxtpaper 12 Pro features a 12.2-inch 2K display, with a 3:2 aspect ratio, enabling it to deliver 18.5 percent more content than a regular 16:9 display. Includes E-Pen stylus from TCL to take quick notes or draw.
This tablet integrates an 8,000mAh battery, which offers about 13 hours of autonomy and a reverse charging system. It also has a version with 5G, works with an eight-core processor and is available with a configuration of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of capacity.
For its part, TCL Book X12 Go, with a 12.2-inch 2K screen, arrives with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c processor and a long-lasting battery (30Wh), which offers up to 14 hours of autonomy.
TCL has also expanded the catalog of tablets with the Tab 8 LE model. Compact in size, it features an 8-inch screen with HD resolution, works with a quad-core processor and a long-lasting 4,080 mAh battery.
This tablet integrates a front and a rear 5 megapixel camera to record videos or make video calls. It also has two stereo speakers and offers 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB with a microSD card.
SMART GLASSES
Streit has confirmed that smart glasses Nxtware Spresented in the framework of the IFA fair in Berlin, will be available in the first quarter of the year in Europe. This wearable device features two 1080-pixel microOLED screens that allow viewing equivalent to looking at a 130-inch screen from 4 meters away, and a noise cancellation mode to simulate the experience of a movie theater.
This product category is expanded with the new RayNeo X2 augmented reality glasses, which will initially be available only to developers starting in the first quarter of this year, with a commercial release expected later.
This model with ordinary glasses design uses color binocular microLED waveguide optical display technology, to project the color image directly onto the crystals from the electronics located in the top corner of the mount.
The Chinese firm has implemented screen improvements that allow it to achieve a high contrast ratio (up to 100,000:1), and a brightness level of up to 1,000 nits, so that this wearable device can be used both indoors and outdoors.
They are also powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 processor, and offer simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), and gesture recognition. They also offer features like automatic translationthe image capture or recording and the music playback.
The company has advanced the development of some virtual reality glasses, Nxtware V, with a lightweight design (236g) and a screen that provides a field of vision of 108 degrees and a pixel density of 1,512ppi. This viewer will have controllers, but it can also be used with your hands to interact with the content.
