Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and SpaceX, continues to work to expand the reach of Starlink, his satellite Internet service that is already available in various countries around the world. Chile was the first Latin American country to release it and it was a matter of time before it would also reach Mexico.
The service was launched in our country last month and the wait is finally over: Starlink is now available in Mexico and anyone can hire it regardless of their location. Musk promises high-speed, low-latency Internet for any type of location, especially remote and rural places.
The tycoon used his social networks to confirm that Starlink is now available in 36 countries. He shared the service page from where you can find out about the packages and prices that Starlink has in Mexico.

What does Starlink offer and how much does it cost in Mexico?
Starlink offers high speed internet with as little as 20ms latency in most locations where it is available. The service allows you to play online games, stream, video calls and any other activity that involves high data speed without any problem.
As this is a satellite service, a clear view of the sky is very important to connect and use the service optimally. There is a mobile application that allows you to check if there is any kind of obstacle and thus be able to determine the best place to install the service.
Although Starlink can be contracted and used in large cities and urban areas, it was largely designed to connect rural areas or areas that do not have access to other Internet services.
It is offered in a starter package that costs $14,300 MXN for the cost of all the hardware required for installation, i.e. the antenna, a Wi-Fi router, power supply, cabling and mounting tripod. In addition, there is a management fee of $1420 MXN. The monthly cost of the service is $2,299 MXN.
This means that you will have to pay at least $15,720 MXN to have the service installed. For now, 100 and 200 Gbps packages are offered in Mexico. Starlink also offers RVs, which give you access to your Internet on a portable basis throughout America. It also has equipment and packages for companies.
According to its official site, it has coverage throughout Mexico, including the entire north of the country. So it’s just a matter of placing an order online.
