April 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed bin Salmán, held a telephone conversation this Tuesday with the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan, and with the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, to emphasize to them the need to avoid “the dangers of war” in the region after Iran's attack on Israel in response to the bombing of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus (Syria).
Bin Salman has insisted on the repercussions of the military escalation in the Middle East, which could get worse in the event of an Israeli response and to which Iran has promised to counterattack, which is why he has asked for efforts to prevent the situation from getting worse, according to a statement shared by the official Saudi agency SPA.
Likewise, they have spoken about the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip and about the different pro-Iranian militias in the region that launch attacks against Israel, such as the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah, the Houthi rebels in Yemen or the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
