Russia completely controls the city of Severodonetsk, in Luhansk

June 25.

Russian forces already control the entire city of Severodonetsk, in the Ukrainian province of Lugansk, according to its mayor, Okelsander Striuk.

“The city is totally under the occupation of the Russian Federation. They are trying to impose their own order. As far as I know they have appointed a ‘commander,'” Striuk told Ukrainian television reported by the Ukrinform news agency.

Striuk has explained that the city is destroyed by bombing to the point that it will be difficult for anyone to live in it. However, the city hospital still has stocks of medicine and could treat whoever needs it.

As for the fighters and civilians entrenched in the Azot industrial plant, Striuk has confirmed that they have begun to leave the shelter and Russian propaganda is already recording images of this exit.

Striuk has further explained that the evacuation of the city can only be done in the direction of the territories controlled by Russia, since across the front it is impossible.

Ukrainian authorities in Luhansk have claimed that critical infrastructure has been destroyed and 90 percent is damaged and 80 percent of residential buildings will have to be demolished.
