Elon Musk has reaffirmed its intention to implement a “small fee” to new users of X (formerly Twitter), who must pay an annual amount for publishing and interacting with 'likes' on the platform.
The owner of the social network has spent months looking for ways to stop 'spam' and fight against the use of automated accounts or 'bots' that alter the interaction between users of the social network and hinder conversations.
One of its latest actions has been the elimination of all those accounts that violate the rules of the 'microblogging' platform, which means that some of its users have been able to lose followers.
Months earlier, Musk announced that he planned to establish a “small monthly payment” for all users on X in order to combat the “huge armies of bots“that act on the social network, which considered it “the only way” to deal with these automated accounts and to offer a platform without this type of profiles, which represented “a very high effective cost.”
So, he did not comment on what the rate would be that he would apply for it, although he did say that it would be “a very small amount of money” and that he would apply it to all users who used the social network.
