In 2023, The Last of Us is celebrating 10 years. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of The Last of UsNaughty Dog and specialist art gallery and print company Cook and Becker have partnered to launch “an original piece of art”, created by the legendary artist from final fantasy Yoshitaka Amano.

How to get a print of the new art of The Last of Us?
This project was launched through a funding campaign, so fans would have to support it and reserve their copy. The goal was to raise just under $73,000 USD, which was obviously achieved, so the collaboration will come to fruition.
Thanks to a video, we can see a little more of the collaboration between Naughty Dog, Cook & Becker and Yoshitaka Amano. Unfortunately, none of the artwork was shown, so fans will have to wait until mid-September to see the result.
“Please stay tuned. I’ll do my best,” Amano said.
However, judging by the video, Amano was inspired by the original work and not the series to create the art piece, which will project “the bond between Joel and Ellie throughout the summer.”

3 editions are available. The cheapest is the 20 x 18-inch premium poster, which includes Amano’s signature (printed), which costs $49 USD and is limited to 2,000 units.
The premium edition is 28 × 39 inches, printed on museum-grade glicée, and features Amano’s signature (autopen replica). There will only be 750 units and it has a base value of $249 USD.
The deluxe edition is like the premium edition, but it also has printed decorations. There will be no more than 370 units and it will cost $299 USD.
There was another edition, which was the most expensive because Amano would personally sign the work and there would only be 25 units. This edition, of course, is already sold out, so it is not possible to see what its price was. Another 5 units of this edition will be produced, but only 5 buyers of the deluxe edition will be able to get it, since Cook & Becker will replace their order with this one.
These are high quality prints, hence the price.
According to the campaign, we can know that 488 people have already secured an edition. The pre-order period is expected to close on September 5, 2023, with orders to begin shipping that same month after the art is revealed.
