LAS ROZAS (MADRID), 30 Aug. () –
The forward of the Spanish Under-20 team Salma Paralluelo recognized that “hopefully” she can be next year in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with the Absolute and that to achieve it she will not “lack work and dedication”, while described as “something incredible” to have won his second world title after being part of the team that was crowned in 2018 in the U-17 category.
“Hopefully, I always like to dream and every player wants to be there, so I’ll fight for it. I just have to work, it doesn’t depend on me, but work and dedication depend on me and that won’t be lacking”, Paralluelo told the media after the reception at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas (Madrid) for the U-20 team for their world title in Costa Rica.
In this sense, he believes that “it may be” that this success can be transferred to the Absolute in the future. “The idea in the lower categories is that the players go up and why not. It is very good that we start like this with a U-20 World Cup, which is amazing, and we have to continue along that line because we can achieve even greater things “, he pointed.
The Aragonese confessed to being “very happy” and feeling “very lucky” to have won another great title four years after making history with the U-17 world title. “You can experience it with the U-17s and repeat it now is something incredible. You dream of it, but you can’t imagine it and being here again gives you extra motivation to know that you can achieve everything we set out to do” he warned.
The new FC Barcelona player considered that on an emotional level they were “well” in the final against Japan, a match where, in addition to her, captain Ana Tejada also had that “experience” of the U-17. “We were calm because we supported each other and we knew that going out like in the previous games and taking it as one more, obviously knowing that it was a final, things were going to work out,” she said.
Salma Paralluelo celebrated the union of all internationals. “You spend many days together, each one belongs to their father and mother, with their differences, but we have managed to get along very well and be that pineapple that is super important, and it has been reflected on the pitch,” admitted the striker, who praised that they did “a very good job in all positions”. “We were prepared not to fail on the day of the final,” she assured.
