The remake of dead space is a few hours away from debuting; in fact, there are some people who already got their copy in physical format. Most of those who plan to play it, however, are just going to start their journey this weekend in the revamped Ishimura thanks to new technology used for the remake, but Electronic Arts might already be thinking about the remake of the second part.
As we told you, some fans and members of the press were already able to play the title and already had the opportunity to finish the campaign for the first time, which gave them access to New Game+.
In addition to unlocking a new level of Isaac Clarke’s suit, new Necromorph variants, and a completely new alternate ending, this mode includes additional logs that are very interesting.

Is EA hinting at a remake of dead space 2?
In one of these logs, there is a conversation that does not appear in the original game and that seems to hint that Electronic Arts will make a remake of dead space 2. Without going into too much detail, 2 characters talk about job opportunities they would be looking for after learning that a “dismantling” of the Ishimura would take place next year.
Thus, both discuss the possibility of going to work at The Sprawl, as he refers GameSpot. In case you don’t know, it is an EarthGov station located on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons and the place where the events of the second installment take place.
It can also be thought that this addition was made to improve the continuity between the first game and the second, something that EA Motive had already talked about. However, it’s hard to believe that Electronic Arts would undertake these efforts to simply improve the lore and universe of the IP, but would also seek to do so in order to continue the series after sparking interest in it with the remake. Also, the studio already has the technology and, given the favorable results of the remake, it shouldn’t be too much of a challenge to apply the same treatment to the second installment.
