The National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) presented the most recent report of the Business Confidence Indicator (ICE) for the month of August, which stood at 63.3 points.
This most recent data exceeds the ICE that was registered in July and that was 59.2 points. For the purposes of this report, any score above 50 points means that businessmen remain optimistic.

In the case of commerce and manufacturing industry, a greater correlation is observed with the total result of the confidence index, driven by the services sector, which brings important dynamics. The indicator, in this case, was 62.5 points for August, which shows an improvement in confidence since the previous month it was 61.6 points.
Regarding the construction activity, while the companies showed an ICE of 50.7 points in July, in August this indicator increased to 52.4 points.
