Cybersecurity, data privacy, and the changing nature of work top the risks people face with organizations in Colombia.
This is indicated by the new report of Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB), Risks of People 2022, a report that surveyed more than 2,500 risk and human resources professionals in 25 countries worldwide and includes data from more than 490 respondents from Latin America.

According to the analysis, 99% of companies consider investing in risk management related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
“With the increasing cases of cyberattacks in Colombia and the world, companies have seen the importance of having adequate resources to manage these risks. 78% of companies surveyed said they have the right people to manage this risk”, says the signature.
Secondly, cultures that are not aligned with corporate values, Unwanted behaviors or a toxic environment are the second biggest risk for HR leaders.

In this sense, 51% of the companies consider investing in management of organizational culture in the next two years.
“The jobs of today and tomorrow will require specific skills and knowledge. What used to work needs to be redefined to react to changing market demand”, is another of the conclusions. Along these lines, 60% of the companies surveyed in Colombia plan to invest in strategies to create flexible and innovative teams, he points out.

Likewise, the report reveals the growing concern regarding environmental and social responsibility within organizations. This is how 59% of C-Suit (the most important and influential group of individuals in a company) and 70% of the employees responded as essential to manage the risks associated with this category.
In addition, 14% of the companies in the country consider that they do not have the necessary people to face the challenges that the management of social and environmental responsibility brings, such as climate change and lack of desirable business purpose.
