The BrCRIS project (acronym for Current Research Information System) is promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Information on Science and Technology (IBICT), in Brasilia (DF). It aims to establish a single model to organize scientific information throughout the Brazilian research ecosystem.
Among the agents of this ecosystem are researchers, projects, infrastructures, research laboratories and institutions, and funders, in addition to research results expressed mainly in scientific publications, theses, dissertations, scientific data sets, software, and patents.
During the session, which is part of the ECLAC Library’s Annual Webinar Cycle on Open Science, Bianca Amaro from IBCT Brazil presented the development and implementation process of the BrCRIS project, as well as the challenges for the coming years.
