March 21 (Portaltic/EP) –
amd has introduced the new iteration of open source frame generation and scaling technology FidelityFX Super Resolutionwhich introduces improvements in visual quality and allows it to work with other upconversion solutions.
FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 3.1 offers a number of key updates, which AMD has shared as part of Game Developers Conferencein which he has also highlighted the success of the currently available version, FSR 3, integrated into titles such as Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Starfield, The Thaumaturge and others.
The new version improves visual quality in certain situations, offering a greater temporal stability (reduction of flickering and shimmering), better preserving details and reducing ghosting.
The technology firm has also highlighted that FSR 3.1 can work with other upconversion solutions for frame generationand that has support for Vulkan and Xbox Game Development kits.
Likewise, the new FidelityFX API makes debugging easier for developers and offers compatibility with future versions of this technology, as reported in a press release.
