Amazon Considers Adding Advertising to Prime Video



Netflix already has a cheaper subscription with integrated ads in its catalog, and it seems that Amazon is considering some options that will include advertising in its streaming media service Amazon Prime Video.

As they assure in The Wall Street JournalJeff Bezos’ company will seek this form of financing from advertisers, who are interested in being able to show your products and services on the company’s streaming services.

What is not clear is the way to do it, it is proposed to add ads to paid Prime Video plans (which are basically the users who pay for Amazon Prime in general), and launch a new rate that adds more cost to the service for to remove ads. It would be a similar policy to Netflix, but in reverse: instead of launching a cheaper subscription with ads, they would launch a more expensive one without ads, adding ads to the normal subscription.

Let’s remember that Amazon Prime Video is included along with other services with Amazon Primewhich gives access to benefits and free shipping in the Amazon online store and that its cost is much lower than that of other services such as Netflix.
