A Plague Tale: Requiem announces its arrival for October 18 and shows a 12-minute gameplay

It has been made to beg, but finally Focus Entertainment and developer Asobo Studio have set a release date for A Plague Tale: Requiem, which will be available on October 18 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Game Pass and Nintendo Switch (Cloud Version) . In addition, the company has shown a new trailer with gameplay which expands on what we had already seen during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022.

The new gameplay from A Plague Tale: Requiem follows Amicia and Hugo as they make their way through a red ocher quarry filled with soldiers eager to capture them. However, the main couple has a few tools in hand and Amicia, her older sister, does not hesitate to get her hands dirty to eliminate enemies in different ways. Stealth is the best ally, so to break through the brothers prefer to use distractions and shadows, but in case it is necessary the crossbow is always there for a more direct action. Everything is for survival.

A Plague Tale: Requiem follows the journey of Amicia and Hugo, who after fleeing a devastated home travel south to new regions and bustling cities to start anew and control the curse. “But when Hugo’s powers resurface, death and destruction return with a barrage of devouring rats,” reads the game’s synopsis. “Forced to flee again, the brothers target a promised island that may hold the answer to save Hugo.”

The most enthusiastic can get A Plague Tale: Requiem through a collector’s edition that for 189.99 euros includes the following content:

  • The game A Plague Tale: Requiem. The PS5 and Xbox Series version is delivered in a physical box and the PC version includes a key for Steam.
  • Resin figure Amicia and Hugo (21 cm).
  • A metal brooch in the shape of a bird’s feather that is inspired by the feather decorations Hugo wears in the game.
  • A vinyl record with the soundtrack composed by Olivier Derivière.
  • Three lithographs in A4 format.
