It seemed that Microsoft there was won part of the war for the purchase of Activision-Blizzard which has been open since announcement of intent to acquire. An action that comes just after knowing the result of the court which has ruled in favor of Microsoft. This action will take place before the opening of the stock market next Monday, July 17, where Microsoft had (or still has) a deadline to complete the acquisition of July 18. The only thing missing is the decision of the CMA, the competent authority in the United Kingdom, which is in talks with both parties to try to reach an agreement, and that he has stopped his legal proceedings.
On the other hand, the FTC’s appeal has not gone down very well with Microsoft executives, since according to what they say the court’s decision makes it very clear that this purchase will be a win-winincluding users and consumers of video games.
