Last weekend, a new edition of the Combo Breaker competitive event took place. The official account of Bandai Namco Esports broadcast the tournament of TEKKEN 7so it was the ideal opportunity to reveal the identity of the new fighter who will join the roster of the new installment.

However, the surprise collapsed due to an error. What happened is that the official advance of Bryan Fury, a classic character who will return in Tekken 8was posted ahead of time on an official Bandai Namco Instagram account.
The clip was quickly removed, but it was around long enough for multiple users to download it and post it on YouTube, Twitter, reddit, Facebook and other places on the internet. A few hours later, Bandai Namco confirmed the inclusion of Bryan Fury and shared the official trailer.
Everything indicates that it was an error with the programming of the content. Faced with this accidental leak, the director of TekkenKatsuhiro Harada, expressed his annoyance on his personal Twitter account and blamed Bandai Namco Europe for the slip. Of course, shortly after he deleted the tweet.
“What xxxxx Bandai Namco Euro? This is why I warned you years ago not to post on a timer. Well, I’m going home now. Thank you! Hahaha,” wrote the manager.
The producer of Tekken 8Michael Murray, also reacted to the leak and apologized to the community and developers on his Twitter account.
“I apologize to the fans who didn’t see that particular thing the way that Harada and I wanted it to happen. I feel bad for all of you and also for the dev team who put in weekends to work on it,” wrote Michael Murray.
