Following the success and good reception of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order there were many expectations surrounding its direct sequel: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Although Cal Ketis’ new adventure lived up to expectations, its release was marred by the deplorable performance of the PC version. However, not even controversy stopped it from getting off to a good start on Steam.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor breaks it on Steam
The action-adventure title debuted on April 28, surrounded by controversy due to technical problems that plague the experience of hundreds of PC fans. However, it did manage to hit an all-time high of 67,855 concurrent users on Steam this past weekend.
At the time of writing these lines, the situation remains favourable. We say this because the Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts video game has 31,765 simultaneous players on the Valve platform.
Without a doubt, this is an impressive achievement. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor managed to have the second best launch of the franchise on Steam, and is only behind LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a title that got 82,517 concurrent users on Steam during its debut. Thus, the new adventure of Cal Ketis surpassed his predecessor (46,550) already Star Wars: Squadrons (36,492).
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor suffers on PC
Unfortunately, EA’s video game was embroiled in controversy due to the deplorable state in which the PC version debuted. Players quickly expressed their displeasure and shared negative reviews on Steam. Even the game already ousted The Last of Us as the worst PC port of the year.
Respawn Entertainment acknowledged the issues and stated that it is already working to provide solutions as quickly as possible. In fact, a patch debuted this week that aims to fix some technical issues and bugs.
