As has been discovered through a tweet by Daniel Ahman, an analyst at Niko Partners, it seems that NetEase is working on the first game that will make use of ChatGPT for some of the interactions that we will find in his next MMO called Justice Online Mobile.
This title is developed, as we said, by NetEase, which is a service provider that He has also developed titles such as Diablo Immortal, so it is not a company as unknown as we might think from the West.
Thanks to this integration of ChatGPT in Justice Online Mobile, players of this MMO will be able to have more elaborate conversations with the game’s NPCs, and the fate of the game could even be modified through the actions that the characters perform based on our comments, something that could give a new dimension to this type of game even through misunderstandings that can occur in real life.
It remains to be seen if this ends up being a technique used by game developers over time or ends up being a technology that falls into oblivion -at least in this application–, but without a doubt, it is a very creative use for ChatGPT that has been taking time to be seen.
