One of the most anticipated films for the coming months is without a doubt that of Super Mario Bros., which increasingly shows more information about everything it will offer. It is because of this that some of his voice actors keep revealing more details that give us an idea of what to expect. One of them was the one who gives voice to Toad by ensuring that she will sing in the feature film.
As you surely know, this promising film will hit theaters in April 2023 and we are still waiting to find out what exactly it will be about, so fans continue to analyze every word that comes out of the mouths of those responsible.
A good example of this is what the person who will play Toad, Keegan-Michael Key, recently said in an interview with Varietywhere he stated that he will sing a song within the film:
“I had to improvise a song in Super Mario Bros.which was an absolute blast. That was only part of the fun. I was working on the voice with my partner and trying to find it through the inner journey of the character. And then with the directors [Aaron Horvath y Michael Jelenic], we added some things, we moved them. There was something on the doorbell. She wanted him higher and higher and higher. And that’s where we ended up, and I’m very happy with what we got,” said the actor and comedian.

As you can see, and despite the fact that attention after the first trailer was focused on criticizing Chris Pratt’s work and congratulating Jack Black, everything indicates that what Keegan-Michael Key did was well received.
However, thanks to this confirmation that there will be at least one song in the film, we can come to understand why there were rumors about a project that would end up being a musical.
Now, we just have to wait to find out what awaits us in this new adventure of the plumber with a mustache, all this when it premieres on April 7 in the United States and maybe a little earlier in Mexico.
