What is Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe?

The other game is perhaps the most mysterious, as not only were the fewest details revealed, but the reveal trailer has somber elements that seem to evoke a setting at the time of the witch hunt that took place in some regions of the world. world, including the Salem witch trials, which took place in the United States in the late 17th century.

The exact location was not revealed, so we will have to wait for Ubisoft to share more details or fans to decipher the cryptic clues in the trailer, in which we can see the symbol of the franchise made from branches, as if it were an amulet, placed in a summoning circle, suggesting that it might well have a witch theme or something more supernatural.

Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe promises to be a different game in the series

Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe is in charge of Ubisoft Montréal, and has Clint Hocking as creative director. No gameplay details were provided, but it was anticipated that it will be “a very different kind of Assassin’s Creed“.

A release date or window was not revealed either, but those responsible suggested that it could well be a title that arrives or receives support at the same time as the Assassin’s Creed set in Japan.

“We’re not going to come out with another 150-hour game right after [Codename] Net. Those games can exist at the same time,” said Marc-Alexis Côté, creative director of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and producer of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (via Axios). “That’s how it will be because they approach game design and structure very differently.”
