A program to introduce Vietnamese food and produce to the UK is underway at the Longdan supermarket in Crawley, some 45km south of London.
The Vietnam Trade Office, under the Embassy of Vietnam in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Vietnam Business Association in the United Kingdom (VBUK) and the Longdan and EUTEK groups, organize this week-long event, which began on Sunday.
As part of the activities of the trade promotion program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (MoIT), the event aims to promote high-quality Vietnamese products that benefit from the United Kingdom-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA). ) to UK retailers and consumers.
Artisan products, coffee, fresh and dried fruit, preserved fruit juice, noodles, dry noodles, rice papers, cashew nuts and aromatic rice from reputed Việt Nam export companies are displayed at Nottingham’s Vietnamese markets and supermarket.
On the spot, Sao Thái Dương JSC became the first Vietnamese company to set up a UK showroom to showcase its herbal health and beauty products.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Nguyễn Hoàng Long said the program will promote the image of Vietnamese culture and people in the UK, and help Vietnamese companies there to bring more products to the UK.
