In a pioneering collaboration, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), a leading aerospace and defense solutions company in India, has joined forces with Satellogic Inc., a leader in submeter resolution Earth observation (EO) data collection.
Together, they announced the successful deployment of the TSAT-1A satellite into space, aboard the Bandwagon-1 mission. The enormous event, which took place with the takeoff of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida (USA), methodically assembled at the state-of-the-art Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) plant of TASL, located at its Vemagal facility in Karnataka, marks a significant achievement in Indian space developments.
This success is the result of a strategic collaboration signed between TASL and Satellogic in November 2023. Leveraging Satellogic's unparalleled experience in Earth observation satellite technology and TASL's expertise in complex systems integration, TSAT-1A stands as a testament to India's prowess in space innovation.
