April 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The CEO of the Israeli company BlueBird Aero Systems, Ronen Nadir, has indicated that the production of military drones will soon begin at a plant in Morocco.
Nadir has explained to the Argentine portal Zona Militar that the company already has a production plant that will begin operating in the near future.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), one of Israel's leading defense companies, owns 50 percent of BlueBird's shares.
The manufacture of Israeli military material in Morocco strengthens relations between both countries even further, since Rabat has requested various military materials from the Israeli Ministry of Defense since both countries established diplomatic relations in 2020.
Specifically, Morocco has agreed to purchase the Israeli Skylock Dome anti-drone system and has acquired 150 eVTOL drones from the company BlueBird, as well as Spy X tracking systems also manufactured by BlueBird.
