On the first day of opening of the COMPUTEX 2024Zotac did not want to miss the opportunity to show its next PC type console recently announced, the ZOTAC GAME ZONE. Cataloged as betathe ZOTAC GAME ZONE feels like the ASUS ROG Ally or the new version ROG ALLY 7” with FHD resolution and 120 Hz of refresh rate, in a body that unlike the rest and at least in this beta version, has been dyed gray. This model, at least for now, integrates a AMD Ryzen 7 8840U along with an integrated graphics AMD Radeon 780M.
Despite the size, the ZOTAC GAME ZONE looks light and comfortable to the touch, with multiple buttons as we see in the rest of the models from other manufacturers. The interesting thing is that we have been able to learn that Its launch is planned for September of this yearwith a price that It will be around 800 euros/dollars.
Nothing surprising regarding the price of other models with similar characteristics, what remains to be known is if ZOTAC will take advantage of the NPU integrated in this AMD to offer some kind of advantage powered with Artificial Intelligencehaving opted for this processor just like the Ryzen Z1, but which integrates a dedicated NPU unit. It is also possible that ZOTAC is waiting and working on this model while AMD updates its flagship CPU for PC consoles to the next version with Zen 5 cores.
