The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, will travel to Japan to participate in person in the G7 summit that is being held these days in the city of Hiroshima, after doubts about whether he would go physically or participate by videoconference, as confirmed this Friday by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.
“Very important things will be decided there and, therefore, the presence of our president is something absolutely essential to defend our interests and present clear proposals and arguments about the events that take place in the territory of our country,” he explained, according to has picked up the Ukrainian station Suspilne.
Likewise, Danilov has emphasized that Zelensky “will be wherever the country needs him, anywhere in the world, to solve the stability problems of our country”, as reported by the RBC television channel. “Who would doubt that our president would be present (at the G7 summit)?” he asked himself.
