The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, held a meeting on Tuesday with a delegation led by the governor of the Poltava region, Dimitro Lunin, on the socio-economic and security situation in the region in the context of the war in Ukraine.
Zelenski met in Poltava with a delegation from the region’s Military Administration, led by Lunin, after visiting a hospital and greeting several wounded from the Ukrainian front, as reported by the Presidency in a statement.
The Ukrainian president held this meeting after visiting the soldiers deployed on the front line around the city of Avdiivka, located in the province of Donetsk (east).
His trip came hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin made a rare visit to the Ukrainian regions of Kherson and Lugansk, which are partially occupied by Russian troops.
