“The signal that Russia will deploy nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus indicates a failed meeting with China,” Zelensky explained, referring to the meeting between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping on March 21, the agency reported. from Ukrinform news.

Precisely about this meeting, the permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN, Sergii Kislitsia, stated in a session of the United Nations Security Council that Moscow has broken its commitment to Beijing “only four days after” signing a joint declaration.

In said text, signed by the parties after the meeting, it is reflected that “all States with nuclear weapons must refrain from deploying nuclear weapons outside their national territories”, Kislitsia recalled, as reported by the UNIAN news agency. .

Despite the fact that Russia has not yet sent the weapons to Belarus, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, has been “concerned” this week about this possibility.
