Zelensky denounces the latest Russian missile launch as "terrorism" and calls for "seriousness" to intimidate Putin

MADRID 23 Nov. () –

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has pointed out the latest launch of a ballistic missile by Russia as an act of “terrorism” and has asked his partners to join forces to “respond seriously”, with the aim that the Fear of retaliation prevents Russia from expanding the war.

“When someone starts using other countries not only for terrorist purposes, but also to test new missiles through terrorism, it is undoubtedly an international crime. That is why the world must respond seriously, so that (the president Russian, Vladimir) Putin is really afraid of expanding the war and feels the real consequences of his actions,” the president expressed in his daily evening message.

Zelensky has thanked his allies for the support received in the face of the “latest episode of Russian madness”, but has claimed that, “beyond words, actions are needed”, arguing that “true peace is achieved through force and “not otherwise.”

The Ukrainian leader has stressed that in the context of the war “it is the only party that does not want peace” and has pointed out that this is the reason why it “needs escalations.”

Thus, the Government of Ukraine has revealed that this Friday more details were released about the missile used by Russia to attack Dnipro and has been “aware that ‘comrade’ Putin will continue to intimidate (them).” “On this he has based all his power,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of “doing everything possible so that this war returns to Russia and makes them feel what war is there.”

These statements come after the Russian Government has assured this Friday that it successfully achieved the objectives of the attack with a medium-range ballistic missile used for the first time against Ukraine during the day on Thursday and has reiterated that it represents a response to the use by kyiv of long-range weapons delivered by the allies within the framework of the war unleashed in February 2022.

Following the tests carried out with the new Oreshnik ballistic missile over Ukrainian territory, Putin also announced this Friday that the ‘green light’ will be given to its serial production and subsequent distribution among the Strategic Missile Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.

The war in Ukraine broke out more than a thousand days ago and since then the conflict has progressed without interruption, with the front lines practically stagnant, although with clashes also in Russian territory after the Ukrainian incursion on Kursk last August.
