Some collect cards Pokemon (Pokémon TCG) because they like this game, others because of its value and others because of the illustrations included. If you are one of the latter, then you will be interested to know that a renowned artist from The Legend of Zelda illustrated some beautiful cards, but the bad news is that you won’t be able to get them.

A few weeks ago we informed you that The Pokémon Company and Anique teamed up to hold a virtual Pokémon TCG expo, which would let fans around the world take a look at cards from Pokemonits history and its art.

As part of this event, artist Takumi Wada was invited to make a few exclusive designs and present them as unreleased cards.

Who is Takumi Wada?

This creative worked for 10 years at Nintendo, precisely from 2009 to 2019. This artist is specifically known for having been the main illustrator of the series The Legend of Zelda in that period, so the art of titles like Skyward Sword Y breath of the wild was in charge of him. After Wada left the company, Yusuke Nagano took up this position, since before Wada came to Nintendo Nagano he was the main illustrator.

Wada was also the art manager for Mario Sports Mix, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and more.

Well, this collaboration consisted of 3 beautiful full art style designs (the illustration covers the entire card) in which the imposingness of Zacian, the freedom and carefreeness of Dragonite and the elegance of Gardevoir shine.

In case you missed it: The Pokémon Company is working on a series focused on the Pokémon TCG.

If you liked these 3 cards, we have terrible news for you, since The Pokémon Company will not produce them, but they were created for the exhibition.

Last year, as part of musical collaborations with well-known artists around the world, The Pokémon Company designed cool trading cards Pokemon with J Balvin, Katy Perry and Post Malone, who were also not put up for sale.

We remind you that this is a temporary exhibition and will no longer be available on October 23. So we recommend you see it as soon as possible.
