YouTube Premium increases in price just after the controversy of 4K resolutions

Recently there was a controversy related with the intention of Google to hide the 4K resolution of its YouTube videos behind the paywall that is the YouTube Premium subscription. This was received negatively, but what we didn’t know is that in addition to taking options away from free users, Subscription prices were also going to be increased, as we read in WCCFTech.

This is also going to cause a stir, because as has been seen in different places, price increases are not the same all over the world. For example, in the case of the United States, the price goes from 17.99 dollars to 22.99 dollarsbut in Argentina, the increase is from 179 pesos to 699 pesos, an increase of nearly four times the original amount.

In the case of Spanish users, the price seems to remain stable at 11.99 eurosalthough it is unknown if it will be increased later or not, since as we have been saying for some time, YouTube is showing its thirst for money more continuously than usual.

It should also be noted that this will cause some users who defended Google’s position to hide the 4K resolution behind a paywall have changed their minds although this remains on a personal and individual level.
