July 24 (Portaltic/EP) –
Youtube music has updated the interface of the artist profiles in the iOS and Android versions, which now introduces the ‘Latest Releases’ section, which is part of a redesign that seeks to optimize the user experience and facilitate accessibility to these sections.
The company has been incorporating new features into its streaming music application for some time, which recently launched the option of ‘Mark as played’ on podcasts you’ve already listened to and ‘Sound Search’. This option makes it possible to find a song that’s being sung or hummed.
More recently, YouTube Music has updated its interface, which now offers a more orderly layout for artists, with a format similar to that of platforms such as Apple Music or Spotify, by introducing the ‘Latest Releases’ card before displaying the ‘Top Songs’ section and the rest of the ‘feed’.
9to5Google has revealed what the new interface of the platform looks like, which has also launched the function ‘Badges’which can be accessed by tapping on the profile picture or name of the YouTube Music account user. This is located in the top right corner of the iOS and Android app.
Once clicked, the platform redirects to a screen with a text stating that ‘You don’t have any badges yet’, according to tests carried out by this medium, which has said that this function may be related to an advantage now available on YouTube Premium.
