YouTube is preparing to provide income to the creators of Shorts



Despite the popularity enjoyed by short videos on most platforms such as TikTok or Instagram, as well as YouTube, it seems that the video giant Google had not yet thought about providing a cut of ad revenue to creators, something that it does in the case of traditional format videos.

As we read in TechCrunch, Google would be planning to provide 45% of revenue from advertisers to content creators, which in this case would be the Shorts. This 45%, although it may sound generous, falls short of the 55% of revenue creators earn from traditional video views.

This, added to the fact that the price per visit in the videos is quite low, makes it clear that those who want to live from the Shorts are going to have it quite complicated, having to amass comparatively more visits than with traditional videos.
