Until a few weeks ago, there was an Xbox application and an Xbox Game Pass application; That came to an end and as of today everything is in one space.

The renewed Xbox app for mobile phones now has Game Pass

The official Xbox account on X announced the definitive implementation of Xbox Game Pass in the only application that the brand has for mobile devices. Microsoft understood that users were looking for a simple user experience and having to go from one app to another was not the best idea, hence the decision to unify everything. The renewed Xbox application allows the user to have control of their account, its content and the social interactions that are part of their daily life in gaming with communities.

Likewise, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to enjoy cloud gaming through Xbox Cloud and will no longer have to do so from a different application: “key features, such as the ability to explore Game Pass and manage your membership , they will now be found in one place with the Xbox app on mobile devices. You will be able to browse the entire Game Pass catalog to find your favorite games and stay up to date with alerts for new games coming to the service If you are a Game member. Pass Ultimate, you’ll also be able to view and claim your benefits. Game Pass Ultimate members can also stream select games through Xbox Cloud Gaming on their iOS or Android devices.”

On the other hand, Microsoft reported that it will not immediately withdraw the Xbox Game Pass app on mobile platforms, but starting in November it will be impossible to download and install it on new computers so that the entire experience of its gaming ecosystem, adapted to this type of devices, will happen in this new space.

As for the Xbox mobile store, plans are still underway but it is difficult to launch this year. Microsoft’s intention is to compete with the digital stores of Apple and Google, but at this time there are important changes in the commercial scenario that will favor competition once implemented, although there are still a few years left for this to happen.
